OFFBOARD™ is a spring-loaded device created to lock onto your mooring lines to keep the critters off board.
NOTHING ELSE CAN DAMPEN a day of boating like discovering unwanted guests on board - furry unwanted guests. Pests, such as mice and rats, can gain access to your boat via mooring lines, and once they're on board, they're not easy to get rid of. Treating the problem at its source, the OFFBoard Marine Vermin Shield attaches to and surrounds your mooring line with a disc-like shield and creates a simple, yet effective barrier for pests.
The shields are available in 10-, 15- and 17-inch sets specially designed for mooring lines attached to larger boats.
How to determine the right shield?
To determine which shield is the right one, look at the mooring line sizes
used on the boat.
1) If the line is less than 1/2 inch, use the 10 inch Shield
2) if the line is from 1/2 to one inch, use the 15 inch shield and select one of four inserts for line sizing. The inserts are used to enable the user to use the shield if their line is 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch, 3/4 inch, or 7/8 inch in diameter. No insert is needed
if their line is one inch. We include all four inserts with each shield so that the boat owner can select which one they need. (Sometimes 5/8 inch line isn't 5/8 inch depending
on ware and age of the line. ) The 15 inch shield will fit on boats from 26ft to 80ft
in length.
3) if the line is 1 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inches, use the 17th shield. These boats are
typically larger than 100 ft in length to over 300ft.
