Q: How is the Auto Vent powered?
A: It is powered by the solar cells on the item and also through the optional DC car cord.
Q: Why is the DC car cord necessary?
A: On cloudy days, the Auto Vent fan will stop without directly sunlight. But with the DC car cord, you avoid this problem without any danger of draining your car battery, since it only uses a trickle charge.
